Accounts Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team within one of the UK’s most modern and professional vehicle salvage agents and parts recyclers based in Thame, Oxford.
Key duties
The main responsibility of the Accounts Assistant role will involve dealing with the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger for vehicle recovery.
Other duties will include:
- Processing vehicle recovery related supplier’s invoices and their payments onto SAP, including re-invoicing insurance companies
- Reconciling various daily cash-ups, including eBay sales
- Paying off invoices for parts sales receipts generated by our delivery drivers
- Importing the daily cash-up figures onto SAP
- Producing invoices for Fire Services and associated month-end reports
- Cash counting
- Holidays Cover - Paying for vehicles collected and supplier invoices
- Ad hoc duties as required
Key skills
- Previous Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger experience
- Reconciliation work
- Excellent excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable
- Experience of working in a busy Accounts team environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Being a team player with a positive disposition

The starting salary is 30k to be reviewed after the successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.
