Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the voluntary action taken by businesses (over and above compliance with minimum legal requirements) to address both its own competitive interests and the interests of wider society. CSR is about how businesses take into account its economic, social and environmental impacts in the way it operates – maximising the benefits whilst minimising the disadvantages.

At ASM, we believe that we have responsibilities that go beyond the production of goods and services to help solve important social problems, and we are constantly striving to achieve best practice solutions within all aspects of our business.

  • Noise Pollution – Carrying out various activities using the latest and best available technology, within acceptable hours, and to agreed noise levels within the local environment.
  • Loss of Local Amenity – Ensuring that our sites do not disrupt the local area and environment.
  • Legislation – Working with local, national and international organisations in continually developing and supporting new legislation that further protects the environment, whilst also creating a more sustainable platform for the future.

We strongly believe that our Corporate Social Responsibility will not only enable ASM to sustain a strong business, but also, will help us to establish a superior set of values that will distinguish ASM within the auto recycling market place.
